What do we inspect?
We inspect all
major systems of your home

Because of
included "technical terms" will I be able to understand
an
"Inspection Report"?
Your Beacon
Inspection Group Inspection Report will be understandable to anyone who can
read. Because Beacon Inspection Group
realizes not all customers are technically
proficient in thermo/hydrodynamics and other
technical aspects of building inspection, we
will explain for you any necessary technical
terms included in our report. We write
reports the expert will appreciate and the
layperson will understand.
What will the report include?
Your report will
include our assessment of the condition of all essential
mechanical and structural components of the
inspected building. To the extent we can,
we also will
date all mechanical and structural components
when appropriate. We
will recommend any necessary repairs and attend
to any safety hazards we encounter. All assets
and defects of the inspected structure will be duly noted in your Beacon
Inspection Report.
Will you include photographs in my report?
Your report will
include at least 30 - 40 digital color
photographs. The photographs will detail
any defects we find regarding the structure or
its components and highlight the many property assets
we discover during our inspection.
Do
you use a checklist report?
We do not employ a
checklist format. After years of
inspection reporting, we have learned that many
checklist reports are not comprehensive enough
to describe the many defects an inspector
typically encounters. Instead, our Beacon
Inspection Report inserts comments at their
appropriate location in a narrative format.
There is no flipping back and forth to
understand what our customized report is saying.
We think we have taken the best of all reporting
systems and combined them into a comprehensive
yet understandable report. Our many
customers agree.
Will I receive an "on-the-spot" report?
Your comprehensive
report will not be immediately available at the
time of our inspection. We think a rushed
report is a lost opportunity for real and useful
feedback. In fact, Beacon Inspection Group
inspectors are trained to avoid "on-the-spot"
reporting. Prior to
presenting your report, we research any defects
we have identified. We understand your need for accurate
and thoughtful reporting before you complete
that most important investment.
When can I expect my report?
Typically, your
report will be delivered to you within 24 to 36
hours. In most cases we will deliver your
report on the next business day. Of
course, we always will work with you to meet
your deadline. Your report will be
available in a PDF document format or bound hard
copy at no additional charge.
Is an
inspection a warranty or guarantee?
A home inspection
is
not a warranty against defects or a
guarantee that you will not eventually discover
a defect. Your inspection is
our professional home inspector's visual
assessment of the above-listed components at
the time of the inspection.
Do you repair
the defects you find?
Beacon home
inspectors are highly
skilled professionals who meet Beacon's rigorous
standards of practice, competency and integrity. We will not solicit
or accept offers to repair any defect we find;
however, we will gladly assist the prospective buyer
in locating a competent licensed contractor for
defect repair. We do not accept
commissions or payments for any referrals we
make.
Is
your pricing in line with other professionals?
Our pricing
reflects the comprehensive quality of our
reporting, expenses in accomplishing the report,
training of our professional inspectors, and the
average reporting costs for this region.
Our pricing is fair and in the middle range for
industry reporting fees. While some
inspection services cut prices to produce cheap
reports, the quality of these reports is very
limited, with only negligible usefulness to the
consumer. |
